Publicado en 1984, constituye el séptimo álbum de estudio de Leonard Cohen. Con arreglos de John Lissauer, es el primer disco en el que aparece a los coros, junto a otras vocalistas, Anjani Thomas. Entre otras canciones, destacan Dance Me to the End of Love y Hallelujah.
