ITTSAE-TSG (Interactive Tool for Time Series Analysis Education – Time Series Generator) is a free of charge software tool for generating of time series which are realizations of basic stochastic processes: white noise, autoregressive (AR), moving average (MA), autoregressive moving average (ARMA), autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA).

ITTSAE-TSG allows to:
  • Setting the (serial or parallel) block diagram of the stochastic processes which generate the time series.
  • Setting graphically the parameters of the stochastic processes.
  • Generating various realizations (time series) of the selected stochastic processes.
  • Saving the generated time series in a text file which can be loaded in other software tools, such as ITTSAE-TSA or Matlab.
  • Plotting the estimated autocorrelation function.
  • Plotting the estimated partial autocorrelation function.
  • Plotting the estimated cross correlation function.
    • The main features of ITTSAE-TSG are its simplicity, ease of use and interactive nature. Any action carried out on the screen is immediately reflected on all the graphs generated and displayed by the tool. This allows the user to visually perceive the effects of his or her actions.

    ITTSAE-TSG has been developed with SYSQUAKE 5.0 by José Manuel Díaz Martínez (UNED-DIA), Sebastián Dormido Bencomo (UNED-DIA) and Daniel E. Rivera (ASU-CSEL).
